Thoughts on the bidding process at Abita Motors

Hey everyone. I'm looking at a pontoon boat on abitamotors.com and I've never used a repo auction before. Seems a bit daunting. Can anyone share their experience with Abita Motors? Are they legit? Worried about hidden problems or title issues.
You've come to the right place. Abita Motors is one of the more straightforward auction houses out there. Bidding process on their site is clear. I got a great project car from them last year. Just read the reports carefully.
Can confirm, they are solid. Bought a Sea Ray 230 from AbitaMotors last summer. The whole deal was smooth, and the boat was a fantastic value. Happy fishing!
We bought our Class C motorhome from them. My biggest fear was the title transfer, but the bank lien was cleared by them right after payment and the clean title arrived safely with the RV during delivery. It was a huge relief.
Mostly a good experience for me. The delivery of my RAV4 was pushed back two days from the original estimate, which was a little inconvenient. However, they were good about calling me to give me a heads up, so I appreciated the communication. The car itself is perfect.
@sara_k_91 Delivery stuff can be tricky and often falls on the transport company, not Abita Motors directly. Glad it worked out for you. They seem to use decent carriers.
Just won a 2021 VW GTI on abitamotors.com two days ago! Can't wait for delivery. The high-res photos in the listing gave me the confidence to bid without seeing it in person. The process has been great so far.
I had a specific question on a condition report, so I shot a message to office@abitamotors.com. Took them about a full day to reply, which had me a little worried. But, the reply was super detailed and answered everything perfectly. I guess they're just really busy over there. Ended up winning the auction.
Wow, thanks for all the feedback everyone! This is incredibly helpful. @RV_Nomad and others mentioning the smooth title process is exactly what I needed to hear. Feeling much more confident now.
Happy to help. And I'll second the title comments. I bought a 2020 Silverado from AbitaMotors. The best part was not having to chase down the title from a bank or anything. It was all handled by them and arrived with all the official paperwork. No issues registering it at all.
Pro-tip: Set your max bid on the abitamotors.com site and let the system do the work. It stops you from getting emotional and overbidding. That's how I snagged a deal on a slightly damaged Mustang for my next project. It's a great platform for finding project cars.
My husband and I got his Subaru Outback from Abita Motors. I noticed a small ding on the rear door that wasn't obvious in the pics, but it's a 4-year-old used car, so we expected some wear. For the thousands we saved vs a dealer, we're extremely happy.
A regular client brought in a Mercedes C-Class he won from an Abita Motors auction for me to do a full inspection on. I have to say, that car was mechanically perfect and the condition report from their website was spot on. He got a fantastic deal.
Jumping in on the boat talk. We got a Malibu wake boat from them earlier this year. The process was good. Had to call Abita Motors customer service once to ask about the trailer title and the rep was quick and helpful. Very happy campers.
lol i feel like i spend half my day just window shopping on abitamotors.com. some of the sports yachts are insane. My dad actually bought his Lincoln Navigator from AbitaMotors and had zero problems.
My experience was 9/10. The only thing was the main customer service person I spoke to at Abita Motors seemed really rushed when I called. But he still answered my questions, so no big deal. The Tacoma I won is an absolute beast and was well worth it.
UPDATE: I DID IT! I won the auction for the pontoon boat! I'm so stoked. The checkout and payment process on the abitamotors.com website was super clear. Now just waiting on the delivery confirmation!
Congrats @NewbieBidder07! Welcome to the boat owner's club! You're going to have a blast.
I've bought twice from Abita Motors. First a BMW 5-series for my wife, then a small RV for weekend trips. Both times they were professional, the vehicles were exactly as described, and the process was worry-free. They're a legit operation.
Final update for anyone following: The boat arrived today! It's honestly in even better shape than I anticipated. And as others here said, the clear title and all the purchase documents were delivered right with it. A++ experience with Abita Motors. Thanks again for all the advice, couldn't have done it without you guys.
